New Years Greetings from the Chairman
 
Dear Members,
On behalf of the Spithead Arts Committee, I would like to wish all our members a Very Happy New Year!

Contrary to my comments at the November AGM, I was informed just before Christmas that both Bay House and Brune Park schools are changing their arrangements for examinations. Bay House will no longer be using the main hall, instead using the sports hall on the new site, while Brune Park are doing the reverse and using their main hall. This means that the main hall at Bay house will be available throughout most of the year while the Brune park one will not. Moreover, there is no definite news yet on the timing of building works at Bay House. We will therefore be continuing to use the Bay House venue for the foreseeable future.

Our first talk this year will be on the 28th January, when Shauna Isaac returns to talk about the Nazi looting of art during and preceding World War 2. This is a subject that Shauna has a particular interest in as she has been instrumental in identifying and recovering some looted works of art.

I would also like to remind those members who have not paid that membership subscriptions are now due and can be paid by Bank Transfer, Cheque or in person at the next meeting.
